Pastor Tim Alsbaugh brings an enlightened word about the Inheritance of the Shepherd. He explains that the nation of Israel is and has been fighting for their rightful inheritance clear back to when the promise was originally made to Abraham.
However, Tim shares that just like the patriarch’s promise was not dependent on their ability to walk out His instruction perfectly, we too can rest assured, that if God makes a promise He will fulfill it.
Tim continues by studying the life of Jacob. While living his final years in Egypt. Prior to his death Jacob made a final request, asking that he be buried in the land of “promise”.
You see, Jacob had an understanding of the position and place he needed to be for fulfillment of the promise. However, he spent much of his life conniving to receive it. That said, because God had given His word, Jacob’s failure to walk it out in perfect obedience did not disqualify him from the inheritance.
Just like Jacob many of us have made choices. Some of them have been good, and some of them were poor. We have suffered the effects from both. Still, we must remember that when God chooses us, He will make a way for the promise either through us, or through our lineage. His purpose will come to pass.
Join the House of David as they rejoice in knowing that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is faithful! Rejoice with us as we choose to follow the good shepherd, as He continues to guide us in all that we put our hands too.
- Sheep have a mind of their own.
- They are easy prey
- If you refuse to go through the door you cannot receive the inheritance.
