Curt Landry’s message Intercession for Florida and Our Nation he brings a sobering call to prayer as the United States of America continues to battle against extreme weather from coast to coast.
How does God birth intercession?
Intercession is usually birthed in the fire of disappointment. Moses is an example of this truth. He was born at a very inconvenient time, separated from his family, and raised by the enemy of Israel.
Curt Landry shares that Moses experienced great discouragement as he went through the steps to free the Hebrew children from Egypt. The forty years of wandering in the desert made it that much worse.
We often don’t understand that our soul wants to keep us in the past, while the Lord asks us to move forward into the future through new and ever-changing ways. We become codependent on the ways of the past, and miss out on our call because we refuse to move forward.
During this desperate time of need, the Lord is calling the Body of Christ to a deeper level of intercession. It is time to remove the mixture from Church. If we do not, the sin in the camp, cancels the authority in the Courts of Heaven.
Curt Landry shares two examples of men who changed their behavior and actually experienced positive results because of their obedience. Moses in Exodus 32 deals with his anger with the nation of Israel, when he intercedes on their behalf, negotiating his eternal life for theirs.
Joshua experienced breakthrough when he interceded before the ark of the Lord, challenging the Lord with His own character, when Joshua asks what are your enemies going to do when we are defeated? What will happen to Your name then?
- Your soul desperately wants that Gaither music.
- The Word is the end, but not at the expense of people. We must have a burden for the people.
- What are the ramifications if the Body of Christ chooses not to step up its responsibility as prayer warriors?
