Curt Landry, in his word, 40 Signs You are being Destroyed by Jezebel and a Religious Spirit, addresses two major spirits that have been attacking the Church and the world at large.
“How many know there is a difference between saved folks and disciples. So tonight, you have a choice… Tonight you are either going to be honest with God and admit that this has been an influence in our lives and we’re choosing to come out of agreement with it.”
“Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, and attend to your herds.” –Proverbs 27:33
“‘But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’” – Ezekiel 33:6
1). Every Christian community has both strong and weak Christians.
“We then who are strong ought to bear with the scruples of the weak, and not to please ourselves.” –Romans 15:1
“Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.” – Romans 15:2
“For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, ‘The reproaches of those who reproached You fell on Me.’” – Romans 15:3
2). Every Christian community has divisive members.
“Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.” – Romans 16:17
“For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.” – Romans 16:18
3). Every Christian community must face the battle of religious spirits.
”In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all, ‘Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.’” – Luke 12:1-3
