Curt Landry brings a post sukkot word, Renewing Marriage Covenant Power. In it, he deals with the importance of the family unit in understanding covenant. He explains that if you don’t have a dominion marriage then you don’t really have a marriage. We are created for dominion.
Curt uses the example of his last trip to Israel. Meeting with business people on two different occasions, he heard Israeli businessmen share that if they do not financially prosper, then Israel will not make it. This is true of the Body of Christ. We must prosper and take dominion.
Next the congregation prepares their hearts to depend on God and God alone. Couples step under the houpa recommitting to our God, and to one another. Singles, commit their lives to the Lord, with new resolution to wait for the right spouse.
Curt explains that each one of us are absolutely perfect in the Father’s eyes. We must be the best we can be, walking in His purpose. We must cross over into 5777 with a dominion mandate. He encourages us to set the example around us, even to our own hurt, allowing God to raise us up.
“Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” –Ecclesiastes 4:12
As each family comes into the revelation that each one has a specific mandate, they choose to recommit themselves to Him fully, so that they might walk with greater authority than ever before. The service is ended with declarations: “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord!”
- Why don’t you see that part of the battle of your witness is you need to have your own success. The Bible is full of successful men and women.
- You are to walk on earth as it is in heaven.
- You are called to bring those seven mountains under the submission of the Word of God.
