Shifting from Saul to David is a relevant comparison to the current state of the Church. The nation of Israel longed to be like their neighbors, and begged for a king rather than follow in the ways of God. The Church has many times put in place Saul type leadership that was not anointed to serve in that position, while the true kings, like David, were left to fend themselves. In this new season these anointed King Priests are coming into their destiny. Will we step into that new identity or will we die by our own sword?
- We are either a Saul or a David.
- Waiting is a form of adversity, a test of our faith and endurance.
- Times in waiting are designed to be times when our faith is stretched and our intimacy with Him is enhanced.
