Join Pastor Tim Alsbaugh as he shares a message on The Whole Armor of God. In it, he explains that as Believers it is important that we understand what we are actually equipped with, rather than what has been represented over the years in inaccurate Bible teaching.
For years, the armor of God has been pictured as similar to that of the Roman soldier. However, Tim explains that this is an incorrect portrait of our role as “soldiers”. The Whole Armor of God is actually a tool to enable the Believer to stand, with great joy, as we go through life’s journey.
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
Pastor Tim goes on to explore the various pieces of armor available to us, and describes them to be more like that of the High Priest, than that of a soldier.
He also shares about the importance of asking the Lord which specific battles are ours to fight. He explains that even the great man of God, King Josiah, died tragically when taking on a battle that did not belong to him to fight.
Stand with the House of David as they rejoice, understanding that the whole armor of God is a picture of covenant between the God of Israel and His people. As we walk in close relationship with Him, He will not let us fail, and He will not let the enemy overwhelm us.
- The victory has already been completely won.
- God’s inheritance is victory over everything that assaults the Kingdom of God.
- The enemy is concerned about Christ in you.
